CSM Leslie Wright, Jr. has had a distinguished career In the U.S. Military. He spent eight years in the United States Marine Corps. He received excellent training in leadership, organization, discipline, ethics, and professionalism. His job in the Marine Corps was as combat engineer and infantry. His job title was called Shore Party.
He received mountain warfare training in the Aleutian Islands, jungle warfare training in Panama, desert warfare training at Twenty-Nine Palms, and cold-weather training in Bridgeport, California.
His career spans over a 30-year period. This includes working with the Washington State Guard. He entered starting as a corporal and worked his way up the ranks. He was deployed to numerous major disasters. CSM Leslie Wright is a certified Red Card holder and is a wildland firefighter for the state of Washington. He was commandant for the Seattle-Puget Sound Marine Corps League.
CSM Leslie Wright currently serves in the U.S. Volunteers Joint-Services Command for which he is a Command Sergeant Major providing full-honor funerals for veterans who have passed on.
